Youth football for younger players is back! This touch/flag football league is a great way for your child to be introduced to the game of football! Your child will learn basic football skills like passing, running, and catching from the Apollo coaches and varsity football players. Following the skills session, players will compete in a game each Saturday. Each child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment. The Apollo Youth Tackle Football League is back for another successful season! This is a padded, full-contact league offered to students attending Discovery, Kennedy, Madison, Westwood, Lincoln, and North Junior High in St. Cloud, MN. All players must be entering 5th or 6th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Your child will learn the basic football skills of blocking and tackling. In addition, your child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment Practices will be held two times per week at Apollo High School in the evenings and games will be played on Saturday mornings. Bring to football league: shoes, mouth guard (if you want your own, one will be provided), and plenty of water. Pads and other equipment will be provided. Meet at the Apollo Football Fields. Come run on the grass course that will be used for the Apollo Early Bird Cross Country Meet the next day. It is a great way for kids to find out what Cross Country Running is like. Fencing is a fun and intense sport that teaches quick reactions, excellent coordination and self-discipline. Whether you are a beginner or have taken this class before, you will learn simple and effective self-protection techniques with the sword including attacking and defense among other tactics. All equipment is provided (mask, jacket, glove and weapon). Wear comfortable clothing such as long sweat pants and running shoes. Enter door 4.

Is your child interested in music? Professional virtual instruction is being offered by Steve Cekalla's Guitar and Music School. This class offers a unique and fun approach for starters, but with the ability to teach styles, theory, and techniques to those with instrument experience. A stable internet connection, some internet savvy (ex. ability to screenshot/print screen), and access to a working printer is helpful. Participants should have their own instrument, but a limited amount of guitars are available. Please check before registering for availability. This Community Education package is for three virtual 30-minute group lessons. Only one lesson package per student. Contact information will be given at the time of registration.

Your child will experience a mini-week long camp. Campers will get to experience everyday life at a barn including activities such as daily riding, learning how to braid manes and tails with ribbon, grooming and caring for the horses (including bathing) and feeding them at the end of the day. This is a great time for campers to spend time outdoors and build lasting friendships with fellow horse lovers in a structured and positive environment. Campers are divided into smaller groups of similar riding experience, which is perfect for both the new and more experienced riders. Riding takes about 1 hour per day in an arena with no trails and consists of learning how to steer, stop, turn, and walk/trot on their own. Campers will spend time on the ground with horses throughout the rest of the day. Camps are held rain or shine. There is an outdoor and indoor arena. Proper attire includes sneakers or boots (closed toe with a heel), long pants and layers, depending on weather. ASTM/SEI certified helmets provided and required to be worn. Signed waiver forms are required and the link will be emailed to participants once they have registered for the camp. Bring to class: sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, nut-free snack and lunch. Camp is located in Anoka, MN.

Schedule a one-on-one online beginner Spanish lesson for your child. Dates and times will be arranged with instructor and participant. Participants may register for multiple sessions per month.

This program is an engaging introduction to the TRADITION of St. Cloud Tech Tiger Football. Your Tech Football Player will spend time each session working on basic ball skills, take-away skills, and pursuit fundamentals. Each session will conclude with players dividing into groups (K-2 and 3-4) for team games like 7 on 7 Flag Football and Tiger Ball. Students will learn the Tech Tiger fundamentals of blocking and tackling, develop both ball skills and take-away skills, and learn the offensive and defensive schemes and techniques used at Tech. Sportsmanship and teamwork will be emphasized throughout. 6th graders attending South Jr. High should sign up for the school they attended as 5th graders. Pads and other equipment will be provided. Equipment pick-up details and a detailed fall practice schedule will be emailed in late August. A t-shirt will be provided (please indicate YOUTH S, M, L or ADULTS, M, L, XL, XXL).
