This touch/flag football league is a great way for your child to be introduced to the game of football! Your child will learn basic football skills like passing, running, and catching from the Apollo coaches and varsity football players. Apollo Youth Tackle Football League - (Entering Grades 5 & 6)RecreationThe Apollo Youth Tackle Football League is back for another successful season! This is a padded, full-contact league offered to students attending Discovery, Kennedy, Madison, Westwood, Lincoln, and North Junior High in St. Cloud, MN. All players must be entering 5th or 6th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Your child will learn the basic football skills of blocking and tackling. In addition, your child will practice valuable life skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship in an enthusiastic learning environment Practices will be held two times per week at Apollo High School in the evenings and games will be played on Saturday mornings. Bring to football league: shoes, mouth guard (if you want your own, one will be provided), and plenty of water. Pads and other equipment will be provided. Meet at the Apollo Football Fields. BMX New Rider League (Ages 5 & Up)RecreationRider Race league is an introduction to the rewarding sport of BMX. Included in the program is a full year membership for USA BMX allowing the rider to participate in any event at any track in the United States, four coached lessons with our experienced riders teaching the fundamentals of BMX racing, entry into five races, a custom BMX jersey with the riders name printed on the back, a Pineview Park BMX number plate for their bike and free rental of a BMX bike and helmet (if needed). Chinese Immersion Camp (grades K-5)Special InterestThe Chinese Immersion Program at Madison Elementary will offer a 3-day Chinese Immersion summer camp where students will engage in a variety of language and cultural activities, including Chinese language practice, music, art, dance, games, and martial arts. The camp focuses on helping students strengthen their Chinese skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through fun, interactive experiences. Teachers will support beginners in developing basic conversational skills, while intermediate students will continue to expand their language skills through readings and engaging activities.
