A licensed parent educator will also facilitate a parent discussion group, with topics based on family needs and interests. Recognizing the challenges faced by family members of all ages and stages, this group aspires to create a safe and welcoming space to explore questions, concerns, and hopes. This group is especially intended for families with one or more members who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning (LGBTQ+). Tiempo en FamiliaSpecial OpportunitiesLas sesiones serán el segundo y el cuarto martes del mes. No habrá clases el 22/12 ni el 9/3 (17 sesiones en total). Dirigido a padres e hijos, desde el nacimiento hasta el ingreso al jardín de infancia. Las clases incluirán tiempo de juego compartido entre padres e hijos, tiempo para que los padres observen a sus hijos pequeños jugando en un centro de aprendizaje para la primera infancia, y tiempo para dialogar sobre inquietudes relacionadas con la crianza junto a otros padres y el maestro. Se ofrecerá orientación infantil y apoyo a los padres, a cargo de maestros con licencia en educación infantil y educación para padres. Se trata de una clase con enfoque cultural, diseñada para ayudar a los niños a conectar con sus identidades culturales y para desarrollarlas.
